The head of IRIB has announced significant progress in the production of ‘Prophet Moses’.

The head of Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), Peyman Jebeli, has announced significant progress in the production of the highly anticipated series ‘Prophet Moses’.

According to Jebeli, a massive studio dedicated to the series is under construction and is expected to become operational by mid-year, in line with the project’s schedule.

Jebeli highlighted that pre-production and initial team formation are underway, with the series aiming to set a new benchmark in Iranian film and television through the use of advanced virtual production technology.

He described the project as a turning point for the industry, introducing a modern and unique technical infrastructure to Iranian serial production.

The series, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Ebrahim Hatamikia, will span 52 episodes and cover the life of Prophet Moses (PBUH) from before his birth to his death.

The production involves a team of over 300 professionals and has received strong institutional support from IRIB, which considers the project a top priority and a milestone in adopting cutting-edge production methods.

A pilot version of the series was recently screened at the Fajr International Film Festival, where the cinematic adaptation garnered five awards, including best supporting actor, makeup, costume design, set design, and visual effects.

The story focuses on the early life of Prophet Moses and features a distinguished cast, including Merila Zarei, Alireza Kamali, Bahnam Tashakkor, Bahareh Kian-Afshar, Farhad Ayeesh, and several others.

The series is being produced to international standards and aspires to reach a global audience. With the introduction of localized virtual production technology, ‘Prophet Moses’ is positioned as one of the most ambitious and technologically advanced projects in Iranian television history.
