Artists condemn Zionist regime’s attacks against Iran

Following the Zionist regime’s attacks against Iran, Iranian artists in separate messages condemned the blatant violation of the Islamic Republic’s sovereignty.

Following the Zionist regime’s attacks against Iran, Iranian artists and cultural associations in separate messages condemned the blatant violation of the Islamic Republic’s sovereignty and expressed condolences and solidarity with the families of the martyrs and victims of the crimes.

The Cinema Organization of Iran released a statement: “In strong condemnation of this heinous crime and expressing deep abhorrence and outrage at this barbaric act, we emphasize the necessity of avenging the perpetrators to bring solace to the grieving hearts of the people.”

The Iranian Cinema Guild also wrote in a statement: “Attacks on Iran are unacceptable to any Iranian. Any attack on our beloved Iran is a disgraceful and unacceptable act for all pure Iranians. We filmmakers stand with other patriotic Iranians and believe that we will get out of this abyss and historical moment victorious and with our heads held high.”

In another message, the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (IIDCYA) wrote: “Once again, the sinister hand of criminal Israel and its world-devouring supporter, the United States, emerged to cause the martyrdom of great men who, according to the testimony of history and humanity, were defenders of the oppressed and fierce opponents of the oppressors.”

“Kanoon strongly condemns this tragic terrorist incident and the unjust martyrdom of several innocent and pure children and teenagers, who undoubtedly represented the future of Islamic Iran,” the message continued.

“We reaffirm our commitment and pledge to continue on the path of the martyrs until the ultimate triumph of truth over falsehood,” it concluded.

Artists from various disciplines also released a joint statement. In a part of the message, they wrote: “We believe that art is a powerful universal language, and we see it as our duty, at this historic moment, to resist oppression and tyranny through the tools of art.”

Signatories to the statement included Habib Ahmadzadeh, Abdolhamid Qadirian, Gholamreza Sanatgar, Alireza Ghazveh, Mohammadreza Sarshar, Nasser Feiz, and Claire Joubert, among others.

Iranian filmmaker Mohammad Hossein Latifi wrote: “Now we all know that the enemy against us is looking for its own interests; so let's not forget that we are Iranians. Iran has always been an empire to me and now I don't understand why these events have happened; on the other hand, children are being harmed in this war and this is disturbing. Zionists always pretend to be oppressed and carry out their work with propaganda. We must be careful and not forget that we are Iranians.”

Famous Iranian director Majid Majidi wrote in response to the Zionist regime's invasion on our country: “A nation whose leader is the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (AS), is invincible. Iran will remain victorious as history bears witness, and its evil enemies will be destroyed. Don't you know that Iran is my place, the world is under my control?”
