Kordestan

Strawberry is an important fruit of the Kordestan region in Iran, production of which is increasing during the recent years. The fruit of this region has an excellent flavor.

Kordestan grows about 80% of the total strawberry production in Iran. In Kordestan, the predominant cultivar used in planting and processing is ‘Kordestan strawberry’.

The Kordestan strawberry harvest begins in May and continues until July.
