South Khorasan

Iranian farmers in the province of South Khorasan have been harvesting jujube fruit.

98 percent of the fruit which is known as “The Red Pearl” grows in this province. People of the region believe that the fruit has medicinal value.

Researches show that the fruit contains five percent protein, four percent sugar, vitamin C, and salt.

Chinese also use the jujube fruit as traditional medicine.
