Airbnb rents out iconic 'Home Alone' house

Iconic 'Home Alone' house will soon be available to rent on US-based vacation rental company, Airbnb, with just a small fee for accommodation. 

The offer, announced by Airbnb in a press release, invites people to spend the night in the film's iconic mansion, tucked away in the suburbs of Chicago.

 The offer was made in honor of the Home Alone reboot, 'Home Sweet Home Alone' streaming on Disney+, and will feature Buzz McCallister as host.

The movies of the franchise are a staple of the holiday season for different generations, with the original opening in theaters a few decades ago. According to a listing, the booking will open on December 7.  

Devin Ratray in the films was quoted as saying in the press release, "You may not remember me as particularly accommodating but I’ve grown up, and I’d be happy to share my family home - my pizza, even - with you this holiday season. Just try not to let my tarantula, Axl, loose this time.”

The opportunity will be available for just $25 per night.
