ISAAR filmfest wraps up

ISAAR International Film Festival has wrapped up.

The closing ceremony of the 2023 edition of the event was held on May 24 in the presence of cultural and cinematic figures.

The Film and Screenplay Festival is an artistic and culture-building effort for new connections that have deep roots in Islamic culture and is a move towards realizing our own achievements to reach new horizons, the organizers believe.

More than 1,200 films and screenplays have been submitted to the secretariat of the festival. Some 220 of the works are screenplays while the remaining are short films, video clips, animations, dramas and documentaries.

Films from Lebanon, the US, Yemen, Pakistan, India, Iraq, Algeria, France, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Italy, Syria, Malaysia, Spain and Iran are on screen at the festival.

Mashhad in northeast of Iran hosted the ISAAR Festival, on May 19-24.
