36th Children’s filmfest sets new attendance record

The 36th Int'l Film Festival for Children and Youth has set a new attendance record.

The 36th International Film Festival for Children and Youth has set a new attendance record, with over 16,000 students, young jurors, and families participating in the first three days of screenings.

According to reports from the festival’s media and communications team, the overwhelming response from children, teens, and families has marked a significant milestone for this year’s event.

The large turnout shows the growing popularity and appeal of the festival among younger audiences.

The festival, led by director Majid Zeyn al-Abedin, began on October 5 and will run through October 10 in the historic city of Isfahan.

This year’s theme, “Butterflies of Resistance in the City of Life”, reflects the festival's focus on promoting films that highlight themes of peace and resistance, particularly addressing the plight of children in regions like Palestine and Lebanon.

Such cultural events in Iran serve not only as platforms for artistic expression but also as responses to regional violence, emphasizing the country's commitment to supporting children affected by conflict.

The festival continues to play a key role in spreading awareness and fostering messages of hope and resilience through the lens of cinema.
