New series ‘Blindness’ announced starring Bahram Radan

Iranian VOD platforms have announced the production of the new miniseries ‘Blindness’.

Iranian video-on-demand (VOD) platforms have announced the production of the new miniseries ‘Blindness’.

Directed by Sajjad Pahlevanzadeh and produced by Kazem Daneshi, the series features Bahram Radan in a leading role.

The screenplay for ‘Blindness’ was penned by Daneshi, who is known for his politically and socially charged narratives.

Previously, Daneshi wrote the scripts for the acclaimed films ‘The Grassland’ and ‘Without a Body’, both of which were inspired by real-life judicial cases and received widespread audience acclaim.

‘Blindness’ marks Pahlevanzadeh's third series, following the success of ‘The Fall’ and ‘Lost Prestige’, both of which garnered strong public support.

The 10-episode series, described as star-studded, is currently in the casting phase, with Radan's involvement confirmed.

Radan had previously collaborated with Daneshi as the producer of the film ‘The Grassland’, making ‘Blindness’ their second partnership.

Production is set to begin in Tehran in the coming weeks, with the series slated for release next year on a major home-streaming platform.
