Out of 32 competing films at the festival’s competition section, the fifteen titles have emerged as audience favorites.
The top-ranked films include ‘The Calm Man’ directed by Behnoush Sadeqi, ‘The Cry’ by Mohammad-Reza Ardalan, ‘Endless’ by Reza Jamali, ‘North by Southwest’ by Hamid Zargarnejad, and ‘The People's Child’ by Mahmoud Karimi.
Also among the audience’s favorites are ‘Prophet Moses’ by Ebrahim Hatamikia, ‘Tears of the Lagoon’ by Mehdi Jafari, ‘Sayyad’ by Javad Afshar, ‘End the Game’ by Mohammad-Ebrahim Azizi, and ‘March’ by Danesh Aqbashavi.
Additionally, ‘Peshmerga’ by Ali Ghaffari, ‘Guardian of the Field’ by Mohammad-Reza Kheradmandan, ‘Free’ by Hessam Farahmand, ‘Call Me Ziba’ by Rasoul Sadr-Ameli, and ‘God of War’ by Hossein Darabi have also received strong audience support.
The festival’s audience votes play a crucial role in determining the winner of the Crystal Simorgh for Best Popular Film, one of the FIFF’s most significant awards.
Winning this award, not only brings recognition, but also increases a film’s chances of success at the box office and in digital screenings.
