The series follows the life of Soujan, a rural character, from the 1930s to the late 1970s, and is planned to span five seasons, totaling 300 episodes.
The first season focused on Soujan’s youth, while the next installment is expected to explore a new phase of his life.

The series stars Mostafa Zamani, widely recognized for his role in ‘Prophet Joseph’, in a bold and unexpected new role.
He is joined by Sara Bahrami and Pouria Rahimi-Sam. This marks Zamani and Bahrami’s second on-screen collaboration following their appearance in ‘The Rhinoceros’.
Set in the 1920s, the first season of ‘Country’ unfolds in a shadowy, suspenseful atmosphere and draws inspiration from a real-life Iranian serial killer case.
The show is planned as a multi-season project, with each season to be directed by a different director.
