Millions of Iranians attended the funeral for martyrs of the recent Israeli airstrikes in Tehran.

Millions of Iranians attended the funeral for martyrs of the recent Israeli airstrikes in Tehran.

The funeral procession officially started this morning in the capital city, with millions of mourners accompanying the flag-draped coffins of the martyrs.

The streets around Enghelab Square and the University of Tehran are filled with people paying their final respects.

The atmosphere is heavy with grief, solidarity, and determination to honor the sacrifice of those who lost their lives in the recent Israeli aggression.

Along with the people, different government officials and prominent figures took part at the funeral of more than 60 martyrs, including senior military commanders, nuclear scientists, journalists and ordinary citizens, many of them women and children.

Iran President Masoud Pezeshkian, foreign minister Abbas Araghchi, former foreign minister Javad Zarif, the senior advisor to the Leader of Islamic Revolution Ali Shamkhani, the IRGC Quds Force Commander General Esmaeil Ghaani, former first vice president Eshagh Jahangiri, and former Parliament Speaker Ali Akbar Nateq Nouri, are among the officials who attended the funeral procession.

The recent Israeli aggression on the country, which received Iran's crushing and devastating response, united the Iranian nation in defending the country like the time of imposed Iraqi war.
