iFilm English TV to air new series ‘The Lady and the Canvas’

The Iranian series ‘The Lady and the Canvas’ has been set to go on iFilm English TV Channel’s schedule from Thursday.

Produced by Arman Zarrinkoub and directed by Saeed Soltani, the series tells the story of convergence of love, politics, and religion during the early Pahlavi era.

In the days when the love of the pilgrims of Muharram was slaughtered and their rebellion was plundered, a pure love emerged that is dragged into the heart of the storm of disasters and goes to the brink of destruction in the shadow of the deceit of ill-wishers, but in the final moments it rises like a phoenix from the ashes.

The cast list of the series includes Behnam Tashakkor, Shahrouz Ebrahimi, Atila Pesyani, Amir Ghaffarmanesh, Mehdi Faqih, Azita Lachini, Mohammad-Hadi Qomeishi, Masoud Rayegan, Afsaneh Nasseri, Rahim Norouzi, Kaveh Khoda-Shenas, Sahar Qanaat, and Diba Zahedi.

‘The Lady and the Canvas’, made in 2020, is scheduled to replace the series ‘Gilan’s Daughter’, to be on iFilm’s screen every day at 21:00 GMT.

iFilm English TV will also repeat each episode of the new series the next day at 02:00, 06:00 and 13:00. It is comprised of 41 episodes.
