Davoudi, Abolhassan (born 1955, Neyshabur)
Abolhassan Davoudi started his artistic career with inking the screenplay for Rasoul Sadr Ameli’s ‘Payizan’ in 1986.
He has also written articles on cinema and previously served as the chair of Board of Directors for the House of Cinema.
Davoudi has written and directed the movies ‘The Magical Journey’ (1990), ‘’ (1999), ‘Bread, Love and a 1000cc Bike’ (2001) and ‘Intersection’ (2005).
This veteran director has also directed the films ‘Pickpockets Don't Go to Heaven’ (1991), ‘Iliya, the Young Painter’ (1991) and ‘I Like the Earth’ (1993).
His ‘Rainy Man’ (1999) was nominated for Best Film Crystal Simorgh award and ‘Crossroads’ (2005) grabbed him a nom for Best Director Crystal Simorgh at Fajr Film Festival.
The 33rd edition of Fajr Film Festival granted Best Film and Best Director awards to Davoudi’s ‘Crazy Rook’ (2014).
