Sharifinia, Mehraveh (born April 18, 1981, Tehran)

Mehraveh Sharifinia is the daughter of two well-known Iranian actors Mohammad-Reza Sharifinia and Azita Hajian.

She made her film debut at the age of eight in Mohammad-Reza Honarmand’s 'Doll Thief' (1989).

She began studying Cinema at the university before changing to Music. Sharifinia holds a BA in Music from Tehran University Faculty of Fine Arts.

In 2007, she had the opportunity to act alongside her mother in 'Hourglass'. She later became involved in the production of 'A flower for Deborah' as the second assistant director.

She has so far appeared in movies such as 'Masoumeh' (1999), 'A Girl Named Tondar' (2000), 'Look at Me' (2000), 'Nightmare' (2008), 'The Outcasts 2' (2008), 'If it Rains' (2008), 'A Simple Romance' (2010), 'A Line of Truth' (2010), 'The Stories' (2011), and 'Story of My Father's Love' (2012).

She has also acted in series such as 'Imam Ali (AS)' (1995), 'Day of Regret' (2008), 'The Chef' (2009), 'Heart of Ice' (2010), 'Goodbye Child' (2012), and 'Kimiya' (2015).

Sharifinia has won the Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role from the Film Critics & Writers Association for 'There’s Nothing Going on Behind the Door' in 2010 and Award for Best Actress in TV series for 'Goodbye Child’ from Image World Celebration in 2014.
