Soltani, Saeed (born in Aligudarz)

Saeed Soltani is a graduate of cinema from Tehran University’s Faculty of Fine Arts.

He was a teacher for a while but due to his directing work and TV projects he resigned from his job and dedicated his time to directing and editing.

Soltani began directing with a short film. He then wrote and directed a few TV series.

He is most famous for directing the hit series ‘After the Rain’ (2000).

He has also directed other series, such as ‘Youth’ (2001), ‘The Way of Love’ (2004), ‘Years of Snow and Violet’ (2006), ‘Shokraneh’ (2007), ‘Setayesh’ (2009-2010), ‘Zero Hour’ (2012), and ‘Setayesh 2’ (2013).

Soltani has experience as assistant director and production manager as well as actor in movies such as ‘You Who I Didn't Know’ (1990).
