Hashemi, Afshin (born October 12, 1975, Tehran)

Afshin Hashemi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Directing.

He began his acting career in theater and made his cinematic debut in 2003 with the movie ‘So Close, So Far’.

Some of the other movies in which he has played roles include ‘Barefoot in Heaven’ (2005), ‘In the Name of Father’ (2004), ‘The Child and The Angel’ (2008), ‘Please Do not Disturb’ (2009).

Hashemi has also appeared in a number of series, including ‘Bench’ (2005-2006), ‘Saadat Guesthouse’ (2006), ‘The Safe’ (2009) and ‘The First Choice’ (2013).

Besides acting, he has directed the movie ‘I Hope You Are Not Tired’ (2012) and plays a traditional musical instrument named “Kamancheh.”
