'Whole to Part' by S. Vahid Hosseini-Nami gains permit to vie at 2018 Perth Int'l Filmfest in Australia.
The short flick will compete with 48 submissions which are also accepted to attend the festival.
The 12-minute short film tells the story of a dictator's iron statue. While they topple the statue and melt in into smaller objects, it keeps existing among people after the icon's metamorphosis.
'Whole to Part' has previously won the best experimental film award at the 34th Tehran International Short Film Festival (TISFF).
Founded in 1997, the festival has been designed to showcase ideas "at point" in contemporary independent films and find a place for them in a conservative cinema and social environment.
The 21st edition of Perth Int'l Filmfest is slated for July 5-18, in Australia.
