Iranian animation ‘Balance’ has received an award at the 2018 edition of the LakeCity International Film Festival in India.
Directed by Barzan Rostami, the animation received a special mention certificate for the best direction at the Indian event, the festival's website announced last week.
Production of the Documentary & Experimental Film Center in Iran, ‘Balance’ tells the story of soldiers who sacrificed their lives so that the people of the city may live in peace.
The short animation has so far succeeded to take part at the Adrian International Film Festival in the US, as well as the Redline International Film Festival and the Regina International Film Festival and Awards in Canada.
The LakeCity International Film Festival is established to encourage new independent filmmakers and students to explore their talents.
It is not only aimed to support independent filmmakers, but also to serve any filmmakers from various parts of the world to extend their movies to and reach out to the Indian diaspora.
