Iran cinemas to host 'Old Road' soon

'Old Road' is slated to appear on the Iranian silver screen from September 26, 2018.

Directed by Manijeh Hekmat, the film which is about violence against women, will be screened in Iranian cinemas soon.

The director asked the audiences to watch the film in support of ending  violence against women.

'Old Road' narrates the story of a woman who faces challenges right on the eve of Persian New Year.

The flick which is Hekmat's forth feature film was the only work directed by a female director attending the competition section of 36th Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

Mahtab Keramati, the star of the film, is no stranger to ifilm viewers as she has already made some outstanding roles in the productions aired by the channel, such as the series 'Saint Mary' and 'The Men of Angelos'.

She has also been in ifilm movies 'Twenty', 'Alzheimer' and 'Mummy 3'.

Other big names of the movie are Atila Pesyani and Parviz Pour-Hosseini.
