A lineup of eight Iranian films has been scheduled to go on screen at the 6th edition of the Asian Film Festival Barcelona (AFFBCN) in Spain.
The selected Iranian films will compete in various sections of the Spanish festival.
‘Appendix’ by Hossein Namazi, ‘Azar’ by Mohammad Hamzei, ‘Forty Baldies’ by Sadeq Sadeq-Daqiqi, and ‘Midday Event’ by Mohammad-Hossein Mahdavian are in the Iranian lineup.
The list goes on with ‘Leaf of Life’ by Ebrahim Mokhtari, ‘Lina’ by Ramin Rasouli, ‘Mothering’ by Roqayeh Tavakkoli, and ‘Villa Residents’ by Monir Qeydi.
The festival is organized in six sections, including Official Section, Panorama Section, Netpac Section, Discoveries Section, Special Section and Retrospective Section.
This year's Retrospective Section of the event will be devoted to Japanese director Hirokazu Kore-eda awarded with the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival 2018 for his film ‘Shoplifters’.
The AFFBCN will celebrate its 6th edition this year from October 31 to November 11, 2018.
