Chennai in India is to host a festival of Iranian films in mid-February.

Chennai in India has been set to host a festival of Iranian films in mid-February.

Dated for February 11-13, 2019, the program is organized by Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation in association with Culture House of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai.

Alliance Française of Madras will host the event, screening ‘I am Taraneh, 15 Years Old’, ‘The Color of Paradise’, ‘Crazy Castle’, ‘Sweet Taste of Imagination’, ‘Alzheimer's’, and ‘Wet Dream’.

‘I am Taraneh, 15 Years Old’ tells the story of a girls whose widowed father is in jail and she refuses the unwanted attentions of carpet salesman Amir – until Amir’s mother talks Taraneh into accepting Amir’s marriage proposal.

Within four months the couple realize that they are unable to get along. So they get divorce and Amir goes to Germany. When Taraneh discovers she is pregnant, against all advices and intense social pressure, she decides to keep the baby.

‘The Color of Paradise’ is a fable of a child’s innocence and a complicated take on faith and humanity.

Visually magnificent and wrenchingly moving, the film tells the story of a boy whose inability to see the world only enhances his ability to feel its powerful forces.

‘Crazy Castle’ narrates the story of some young friends who met online and try a fun way to bet on a complex and daunting situation. So they go for a path to a new understanding of life and society.

‘Sweet Taste of Imagination’ is about an imaginative university professor named Garous who falls in love with a student of his own nature. Their love story is endangered when a business competitor sets Garous up for unethical behavior.

‘Alzheimer's’ depicts human beings and their relations with a strange man in the center. The man who suffers Alzheimer’s due to having a car accident has to face a new world now.

‘Wet Dream’ shows 16-year-old Arash who is reaching puberty. After years of living with his mother, he leaves her to live with his father. Once there, he visits a girl who changes his life.
