2019 Hafez Awards has set to honor ‘Mom’s Guest’ star Golab Adineh.
The Iranian actress will be honored at the 19th edition of the Awards ceremony for Lifetime achievement. She will also receive the special Ali Moallem Hafez Statue which is dedicated to the artist who has been appreciated by the Iranian film gala.
Born Golab Mosta'an in 1954, Golab Adineh holds a degree in Political Economics from Iran's Shahid Beheshti University.
She began theater acting in 1975 as a student in a troupe formed by Mehdi Hashemi and Dariush Farhang.
It was her performance in the drama 'Sultan and the Sheppard' which shot her to fame. Her appearance in 'The Girl with the Blue Scarf' won her a Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress in a Supporting Role from the Fajr International Film Festival.
She went on to star in other films by Rakhshan Bani-Etemad, including 'The Lady of Ordibehesht' and 'Under the Skin of the City'.
Her performance in 'Mom's Guest' secured her a place as a powerful actress in Iran cinema.
Adineh has been a candidate of a Crystal Simorgh for Best Actress in a Leading Role for 'Mom's Guest' and 'While Everyone Was Asleep'.
This year edition of Hafez Awards is slated for July 11.
