Tokyo filmfest kicks off with ‘6.5 per Meter’

The Tokyo Int’l Film Festival is inaugurated with Iranian movie ‘6.5 Per Meter’.

The Tokyo International Film Festival has been inaugurated in the presence of Iranian movie ‘6.5 Per Meter’ (Just 6.5).

The opening ceremony of the 32nd edition of the event was held with screening ‘6.5 Per Meter’ from Iran.

Directed by Saeed Roustaee, the movie is vying at the main competition section of the festival.

The cast and crew are to travel to Japan in order to speak about the film with Japanese audiences.

Payman Maadi, Navid Mohammadzadeh, Parinaz Izadyar, Houman Kiaee, Farhad Aslani, Marjan Qamari, and Mohammad Ali Mohammadi are on the film’s cast list.

Established in 1985, the Tokyo International Film Festival is an annual film event and one of Asia's competitive film festivals.

The festival opened on October 28 and is slated to run until November 5, 2019 in Japan.
