Torino Film Fest to host Iran-Canadian ‘Botox’

Iranian-Canadian ‘Botox’ is to premiere at Torino Film Festival in Italy.

Iranian-Canadian feature film ‘Botox’ is slated to premiere internationally at the Torino Film Festival (TFF) in Italy.

The film that counts as Kaveh Mazaheri’s first feature-length movie will be among the competition titles at the Torino 38 section of the Italian film event’s 38th edition.

‘Botox’ is about Akram and Azar, two siblings who have lied to everyone about their brother’s disappearance. They have told others that he fled to Germany and that they have no news of him. Gradually, this lie turns into reality in Akram’s mind. She counts the days for her brother to come back.

Sousan Parvar, Mahdokht Molaee, Soroush Saeedi, Morteza Khanjani and Mohsen Kiani are among the cast members of the flick.

Mazaheri, the director, has already made some successful short films, such as ‘Retouch’, which alone has taken part in more than 50 global film events and gained a plethora of honors.

The TFF is the second largest film eventin Italy after the Venice Film Festival.

This year’s edition of the festival will take place on November 20-28.
