Portuguese MOTELx fest to host Iran’s ‘Eaten’

Iran’s ‘Eaten’ is to be screened at the MOTELx fest in Portugal.

Acclaimed Iranian short animation ‘Eaten’ has been scheduled to go on screen at the MOTELx- Lisbon International Horror Film Festival in Portugal.

Mohsen Rezapour’s 7-minute film will be shown at the main competition section of the 15th edition of the fest.

‘Eaten’ is about a rabbit which has been eaten by a wolf. When finally it goes in the predator’s stomach, it meets another rabbit which had been eaten by the wolf some earlier time. The two continue living in the new environment.

Rezapour has said to the media that although his animation is a fantasy production, it is not intended for the kids; due to the fact that the things that happen on the show are a bit harsh, targeting the adults.

The film has already been shown at a number of global events, including the Dieciminuti Film Festival in Italy, the TAIS Animation Showcase in Canada and the Fluxus Animation Film Festival in the Netherlands.

special mention at the Dieciminuti Film Festival in Italy, the Distinction award of the Athens Animfest International Animation Fest in Greece and an honorable mention at the Golden Beggar International filmfest in Slovakia are only some of the global prizes the film has bagged.

While the MOTELx promotes horror movies from around the world, it also accepts film productions of different genres.

This year’s edition of the Portuguese event is slated for September 7-13.
