Iran’s ‘Butterfly Stroke’ wins at the Wales filmfest.

‘Butterfly Stroke’ is about a woman named Parvaneh, who works in a swimming pool, not knowing that she is being filmed.

When the recorded footage goes viral on social media platforms, her husband kills her and is sent behind the bars.

Then, her brother-in-law seeks to take revenge on the person who has shot and released the video.

The film was premiered at the 38th Fajr Film Festival in Iran, where it received 15 nominations and won seven awards.

The awards list for the flick includes the best actress in a supporting role for Tannaz Tabatabaee and the best actor in a supporting role for Amir Aqaee.

The WIFF screens the best of films from around the world and aims to connect filmmakers to the audience.
