Red Rock fest to host Iranian ‘Wound’

Iranian short ‘Wound’ is to compete at the 2021 Red Rock Film Festival in the US.

Iranian short flick ‘Wound’ has been selected to compete at the 15th annual Red Rock Film Festival in the US.

Directed by Sahar Nourmonavvar, the short film is about a 9-year-old girl who loses her family due to an earthquake.

The cast members of ‘Wound’ include Vaniz Afzali and Alireza Labibian.

Also written by Nourmonavvar, the flick has participated in several international film festivals, including the Festival Internacional de Cortometraje UVAQ in Mexico and the Utah Film Market in the US.

According to the official website of the Red Rock Film Festival, it has a mission to show “film that portrays the human race in a positive light and to applaud original works that redefine media through innovation, creativity and sensitivity that both enlightens and educates audiences from around the world.”

The 2021 edition of the event is scheduled for October 18-24.
