Directed by Mehdi Zamanpour-Kiasari, the documentary is about Fatemeh, an elderly woman who lives with her two sons on a farm on the outskirts of Zerum Village in Iran’s northern province of Mazandaran.
She runs a farm and rears cattle for a living, meeting many challenges. She grieves over her daughter who has had an unhappy past.
‘Kal Fatemeh’ went on screen at some global events, including the Kazan International Muslim Film Festival in Russia and the Apricot Tree Ujan International Documentary Film Festival in Armenia, where it won the Martin Adoyan award.
According to website of the AIMFF, it focuses on mountain cinematography and culture.
The festival also includes professional meetings and exhibitions.
The 2021 edition of the AIMFF is scheduled for December 1-5.
