LA Int’l Film Festival to screen Iran’s ‘Playing with Stars’

Iranian film ‘Playing with Stars’ has entered the main section of the 2022 Los Angeles International Film Festival (LAIFF).

‘Playing with Stars’, a 2021 Iranian drama film directed and written by Hatef Alimardani, will make its debut world screening at the Competition Section of the American film festival.

Farhad Aslani, Melissa Zakeri, Michael Madsen, Marshall Manesh, Shabnam Moghaddami, and Ali Mosafa make the cast members of the film.

The flick is a joint film production between Iran and Canada; and themes upon post-immigration crises.

The Los Angeles International Film Festival is a platform for showcasing innovative cinema and new trends in indie filmmaking.

The Los Angeles International Film Festival “discovers, supports and develops new talent in filmmaking, providing a platform for emerging and established filmmakers from around the world,” writes the event’s official website.

The upcoming edition of the event will be held on July 25-29, 2022.
