Screening license for a sequel to Indo-Iranian blockbuster ‘Salaam Mumbai’ has been issued, local media says.
A Saturday media report quoted the director of the film titled ‘The Devil's Daughter’ (Salaam Mumbai II) as saying that the permit for screening the film was issued, adding the film will be shot in London and India.
The sequel will be directed by the same helmer, Ghorban Mohammadpour, who made the original title.
The high-grossing film 'Salaam Mumbai' did well at Iran box office, starring Iran megastar Mohammad-Reza Golzar and female Bollywood superstar Dia Mirza.
‘Salaam Mumbai’ narrates the love story of a well-off Indian girl meeting an Iranian medicine student in Mumbai. As the story unfolds they both run into some complications along the way.
Some other casts of the movie include Indian movie star Dalip Tahil, Simran Mishrikoti and Shaili Mahmoudi.
