iFilm English TV to air ‘Sara’

iFilm English TV’s comedy movie ‘Sara’ has been scheduled to be aired on July 15, 2023.

The movie, produced and directed by Dariush Mehrjouee, reviews the story of a woman who lies to her husband to save his life.

The young woman, Sara, borrows money from her husband’s friend to take her spouse abroad for life-saving medical treatment.

Upon her return to Iran, she decides to work hard to pay back the money, but things don’t turn out the way she had expected.

The cast list of the movie includes Niki Karimi, Amin Tarokh, Khosro Shakibaee, and Yassamin Malek-Nasr.

‘Sara’, made in 1992, is scheduled to go on air at 22:00 GMT.

iFilm English TV will also replay the movie the next day at 04:00, 10:00 and 16:00.

‘Sara’ has been honored at several national and international film festivals, winning a number of awards, including Audience Award at the Nantes Three Continents Festival, Best Actress Golden Seashell award at the San Sebastián International Film Festival, and Best Supporting Actress award at the 11th Fajr Film Festival.
