Iranian director Majidi visits Mumbai for new drama ‘Elephant Man'

Globally renowned Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi is in Mumbai to finalize his new film 'Elephant Man'.

The movie is a special project made together by Iran and India.

Majidi is working with producers of award-winning 'Shershaah'—Shabbir Boxwala, Ajay Shah, and Himanshu Gandhi of Kaash Entertainment Pvt Ltd.

They are meeting in Mumbai to talk about the script, choose actors, and plan the schedule.

Majidi is famous for touching films such as 'Children of Heaven' and 'Baran', as well as the religious blockbuster 'Muhammad: The Messenger of God'.

Filming of his joint project is expected to start later this year.

The movie aims to bring together Majidi’s deep human stories and the vibrant spirit of Indian cinema. It shows how films can cross cultures and connect people.

Majidi made his Indian debut with 'Beyond the Clouds'. It told the story of a young man involved in drugs whose sister is arrested while trying to help him.
