If you’d like your video to be broadcast on iFilm, just follow a few simple tips.

If you’d like your video to be broadcast on iFilm English TV, just follow a few simple tips.

Hold your phone horizontally; unless you want half of the TV screen to be nothing but black bars.

Face the light. If the light is behind you, your face will look dark, or may not be visible at all. Good lighting can make a huge difference to the quality of your video.

Keep your phone steady. If possible, use a tripod or something to support the phone.

If you’re taking a selfie, don’t hold the phone too close to your face. A distance of about 50-70 centimeters is ideal. We want to see you, not just your nose.

Pay attention to the sound. Before you start recording, check the surrounding noise, and make sure you’re not covering the phone’s microphone with your hand. What do you think if the sound of a car horn, a kitchen mixer, or a screaming child is louder than your voice?

Don’t use the zoom. If necessary, move closer to your subject. That way, you can maintain the image quality.

Record a few extra seconds. Start recording a few seconds before you begin speaking, and wait a few seconds after you finish before stopping the recording.

Following these simple tips can make a huge difference to the quality of your video.

We’re looking forward to receiving your videos. Maybe next time, your footage will be on iFilm TV’s screen!
