Indian actor Jackie Shroff agrees to star in the joint Iranian-Indian sequel to ‘Salaam Mumbai’.

Indian actor Jackie Shroff has agreed to star in the joint Iranian-Indian sequel to ‘Salaam Mumbai’ titled ‘The Devil's Daughter’ .

Jai Kishan Kakubhai "Jackie" Shroff has been scheduled to travel to Iran during the screening of the film at a future date.

The prominent Indian actor was born in 1957 and has been in Indian films for nearly four decades.

However, as of 2017, he has appeared in more than 220 films in ten languages.

The joint Indian-Iranian production ‘The Devil's Daughter’, which is to be directed by Iranian Ghorban Mohammadpour, got the green light from India’s Ministry of Culture following a few changes in the movie script.

Approximately 25 Iranian actors are to be permitted visas to travel to India to act in the film.

The high-grossing film ‘Salaam Mumbai’, produced by Mohammadpour, did well at the Iranian box office. The film stars Iran megastar Mohammad-Reza Golzar and female Indian superstar Dia Mirza.

‘Salaam Mumbai’ narrates the love story of a well-off Indian girl meeting an Iranian medicine student in Mumbai. As the story unfolds they both run into some complications along the way.
