Opening for Iranian movie 'Kupal' has been held in Tehran recently, commemorating deceased male lead.
The ceremony was held in remembrance the movie's late star Levon Haftvan in the presence of Iranian artists and filmgoers.
‘Kupal’ narrates the story of Dr. Ahmad Kupal, a taxidermist hunter who faces a challenge just before the New Year.
The film has won several awards so far. It grabbed the best film award at the Around International Film Festival in Amsterdam.
The flick has also received the best film award from the 5th edition of the Brasov International Film Festival in Canada.
The Iranian-Armenian thespian died March 10 at the age of 51 following an incident which occurred on the set of a new production he was shooting.
Haftvan was born 1966 in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.
He had appeared in Khosrow Masoumi's 'Dirty Job', which premiered at the latest edition of Fajr Film Festival held in February 2018.
