Rahim Norouzi

Norouzi, Rahim (born 1967, Rasht)

Norouzi graduated with an Associate's degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Monuments, and a Bachelor's in Dramatic Literature from Islamic Azad University’s Faculty of Arts and Architecture. 

He then continued his education in theater for a year under the supervision of Behrouz Baqayi in Gilan in 1989, and in 1991 took part in Hamid Samandariyan's acting classes. 

He started his career with commercials and talks shows. 

Norouzi made a name for himself with his role in the series 'After the Rain' (2000).

This talented Iranian has found fame internationally, thanks to his role in the period drama ‘Prophet Joseph’ and has numerous fans at home and abroad. 

He has also appeared in 'A House in the Dark' (2003), 'Fever' (2003), 'Chocolate' (2003), 'Zero Degree Turn' (2007), 'Day of Envy' (2008), 'A Stairway to Heaven' (2009), and 'Hell, Purgatory, Heaven' (2008).

He was nominated for the Fajr International Theater Festival Best Actor Award for two plays, while winning the Best Director Award for another play in the First Moon Theater Festival.

Rahim has also tried his hand at play script reading, writing, directing and scene designing.
