iFilm to offer ‘The British Briefcase’

Iranian series ‘The British Briefcase’ has been scheduled to go on iFilm English TV Channel’s playlist from Sunday.

Airing of the series, directed by the late filmmaker Seyyed-Ziaeddin Dorri, is to be started from May 3, 2026.

‘The British Briefcase’ revolves around politics, patriotism and betrayal. It is the story of the old and the new.

A young lawyer fresh from Europe arrives in his hometown; he is decided to make a difference by running for parliament elections.

He has to compete with a rich and powerful lord and his arrogant son who will do anything in their power to keep the ruling under his own politics; even though his politics often clashes with the traditions of his local people.

The most notable among the cast are Farhad Aslani, Leila HatamiSirous Gorjestani, Reza Kianian, Mohammad-Reza Sharifinia, Ali Mosaffa, Saba Kamali, Jamshid Gorgin, and Hessam Navvab-Safavi.

‘The British Briefcase’, produced in 1999, is to replace the series ‘Silent Assassination’ to be broadcast at 19:00 GMT.

iFilm English TV will also repeat each episode of the series the following day at 03:00, 08:00 and 14:00. ‘The British Briefcase’ is comprised of 13 episodes.
