This highly anticipated cultural and artistic event, which runs from January 22 to February 2, features a rich lineup of international plays that will grace the festival's stages.
The schedule for the festival’s international performances is as follows:
‘A Mother Deer’ (Kyrgyzstan), directed by Sharshen Shishonov – January 25 (Iranshahr Theater)
‘Ardaqion’ (Armenia), directed by Jirayr Dadassian – January 26 (Iranshahr Theater)
‘The Things We Carry’ (Portugal/Turkey), directed by Francisco Camacho – January 26 (City Theater Complex)
‘Déjà Vu’ (Iraq), directed by Mohammed Abdul Hamid Abdulhussein – January 28 (City Theater Complex)
‘The Birth of Lazgi’ (Uzbekistan), directed by Askar Kholmuminov – January 29 (Sangelaj Theater)
‘An Hour of Memory’ (Armenia), directed by Vahe Shahverdian – January 30 (Sangelaj Theater)
‘Godzilla: The Phenomenon’ (Tunisia), directed by Ouss Ibrahim – February 1 (Molavi Theater)
Additionally, two Russian street theater performances, ‘Etno’ and ‘Clothes’, directed by Shishkina Anna Yurievna, will take place at the Roudaki Square as part of the festival’s outdoor section.
The 43rd Fajr International Theater Festival, directed by Kheirollah Taqiyanipour, began on January 22 and will continue until February 01.
This year’s festival includes performances by nine international groups, highlighting a diverse range of styles and genres from across the globe.
