Interview with ‘Gando’ star resurfaces

While the political thriller ‘Gando 1’ is currently airing on iFilm English TV, a previously conducted interview with the show's lead actor, Vahid Rahbani, has resurfaced.

In the interview, Rahbani revealed that he had never met the real Mohammad, emphasizing the character's secretive nature: "One of the most important qualities of Mohammad is that no one truly knows him, not even the actor portraying him."

Rahbani also reflected on his favorite moments in the series, highlighting the emotional farewell scene between Michael and Mohammad as particularly memorable.

Regarding his future in ‘Gando’, he expressed uncertainty but affirmed his commitment to the role as the story continues: "If 'Mohammad’s' role extends for another ten years, I will continue to embody this character."

Directed by Javad Afshar and produced by Mojtaba Amini, ‘Gando’ follows Iran’s intelligence agency as it unravels a large spy network, leading to a high-stakes chase between the Iranian agent Mohammad and the American spy Michael.

The series airs every day at 19:00 GMT, with repeats at 03:00, 08:00, and 14:00.
