‘To a Land Unknown’ to tour worldwide

The drama film ‘To a Land Unknown’, directed by Palestinian-Danish filmmaker Mahdi Fleifel, is now being shown in more than 40 regions worldwide, shedding light on the struggles of Palestinian refugees.

Produced and distributed by Salud Maurice, the film was premiered in the Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes and has since been acquired for screening in Brazil, Hungary, Taiwan, Germany, Austria, Spain, Iran and several other countries.

It was recently debuted in the UK cinemas, with earlier rights sold to Britain, France, the US, Canada, and select Arab nations.

The gripping drama follows two Palestinian cousins, Shatila and Reda, stranded in Athens and desperate to reach Germany.

Their harrowing journey takes a dark turn as financial struggles and addiction force them into dangerous choices.

Having been screened at more than 100 international festivals—including Toronto, San Sebastian, and London—the film has earned more than 20 awards, including the Grand Prix at the Mediterranean Film Festival.

With performances by Mahmoud Bakhri and Aram Sabbah, ‘To a Land Unknown’ continues to captivate global audiences.
