New documentary on Persian poet Nezami to start production
A documentary on the 12th-century Persian poet Hakim Nezami is set to begin production.
Nezami, known for his profound spiritual and moral themes, remains a cornerstone of Persian literature.
The project reflects Iran’s ongoing efforts to honor its literary heritage, following similar initiatives for figures like Hafez.
According to Mohammad Shalouee, Advisor to the Minister of Culture, the timing of the announcement with the holy month of Ramadan highlights Nezami’s poetry as a spiritual journey toward the divine.
Iran has so far commemorated more than 300 cultural figures, published some 40 literary works, and installed statues and named street in their honor.
New series on anti-colonial hero 'Shir Ali Mardan Khan' in production
A new TV series, ‘Shir Ali Mardan Khan’, which tells the story of the anti-colonial struggles of this historical figure, is currently in production.
The series is written by Mohammad-Reza Sharifi and produced by Mostafa Elmi-Fard.
While discussions have taken place with director Saeed Soltani, it remains uncertain whether he will officially join the project.
The series is set to highlight the heroic efforts of Shir Ali Mardan Khan in his fight against colonial forces.
