Mehran Modiri to make new series

Iran’s master of satire, director-actor Mehran Modiri, is back behind the camera  with a new series that’s already packing a star-heavy cast.

Filming for 'Six Months' resumed this week after a brief pause, and for the lead role, Modiri tapped voice actor Mohammad Shabanpour.

He'll be joined by well-known Iranian actors including comedian Javad Razavian, veteran performer Alireza Khamseh, celebrated stage and screen star Hassan Majouni, actress Sahar Zakaria, comic talent Nima Shabannejad, and actress Nahid Moslemi, among others.

Production is scheduled to wrap by late October, with the series set to premiere on one of Iranian TV channels in mid-autumn.

The director of 'The Man with a Thousand Faces', the project marks his first major TV series in recent years, and expectations are sky-high.
