Maadi teams up with Hemsworth

Iranian actor Peyman Maadi plays alongside Australian actor Chris Hemsworth in the upcoming crime film 'Crime 101'.

The movie is directed by Bart Layton and is an adaptation of the Don Winslow novella 'Crime 101'.

According to media reports, it will be released on February 13, 2026. Filming began in Los Angeles in October 2024.

The film is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Working Title Films, Raw, and others. Hemsworth is also one of the producers.

Maadi is well known for his role in Iranian Oscar-winning Iranian film 'A Separation', for which he won the Silver Bear for Best Actor at the Berlin Film Festival in 2011.

He has acted in both Iranian and international films. Some of his international works include 'Camp X-Ray' (with Kristen Stewart), 'Last Knights' (with Clive Owen and Morgan Freeman), '13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi', '6 Underground', 'Night Shift', 'Opponent', and 'Aporia'.
