Iran's IRIB to produce 'Prophet Moses'

After months of anticipation and speculation, the production of the TV series 'Prophet Moses' by Ebrahim Hatamikia has officially begun in Iran.

Following the approval of the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), Peyman Jebelli, the new religious series started.

The new series picks up where the acclaimed Iranian film 'Prophet Moses' left off, delivering an engaging continuation of the prophet’s story.

In an official statement, Jebelli announced that the pre-production phase is complete, and filming will commence next week. He emphasized that the movie served as a prelude to this major television project.

Despite the introduction of new cast members, some actors from the original film will reprise their roles in the series, including Merila Zarei, Behnam Tashakor, and Farhad Aeesh, who all play key roles in this historical narrative.

The film was a success at the 43rd Fajr Film Festival in Iran. It set a record by winning five Crystal Simorgh awards.
