2025 Fajr Int'l Filmfest announces winners

The closing of the Fajr International Film Festival has been held in the Iranian city of Shiraz.

The curtain fell on the 43rd Fajr International Film Festival on Tuesday night, December 2, 2025, as the Honar‑Shahr‑e Aftab Complex in Shiraz hosted a vibrant closing ceremony attended by  Iranian and global filmmakers, artists, and diplomatic guests.

The ceremony culminated in the unveiling of this year’s award recipients.

In the international competition slate, Hungary’s 'Lessons Learned', directed by Bálint Szimler, captured the top honor for Best Film.

The Best Director title was awarded to Martin Pavol Repka for his Czech feature 'March to May'.

The screenplay award went to 'Look at Me', penned by Elena Kiseleva and Andrei Konchalovsky and brought to the screen under the direction of Vladimir Gramatikov.
