Tehran to host 12th Int’l Cartoon Biennial

The Iranian Academy of Arts has been scheduled to host the 12th edition of the Tehran International Cartoon Biennial from Thursday evening.

The opening ceremony will be held in presence of a number of Iranian cultural officials, members of the organizing and policy-making councils, veteran cartoonists, caricaturists, artists, and art enthusiasts.

The Brazilian judge Quinho Ravelli will be the special guest at this edition of the event.

The twelfth biennial will also be launched simultaneously in the cities of Mashhad, Rasht, and Tabriz.

This year’s event features 646 works from 70 countries in various categories. 

The exhibition of the selected works of the biennial will be running until January 25.
