Nojoumi, Mahtaj (born March 21, 1949, Tehran)

Mahtaj Nojoumi studied directing from the Advanced School of TV and Cinema.

She began stage acting in 1965 with late Shahin Serkisian’s theater troupe.

Nojoumi made her TV series directorial debut in 1975 and later took on acting.

She made her film debut in 1969 by playing a short role in ‘The Cow’.

Nojoomi has appeared in other movies, such as ‘Foreign Currency’ (1989), ‘In Cold Blood’ (1994), ‘A Man Made of Glass’ (1998), ‘Scent of Camphor; Fragrance of Jasmine’ (1999), ‘Naghmeh’ (2001), ‘Tick’ (2001), ‘Rules of the Game’ (2006), ‘Three Degree Fever’ (2010), ‘Hectic Times’ (2011), ‘Strawberry Dessert’ (2011), and ‘The Sinners’ (2012).

She has also acted in several series, including ‘The Story of a City’ (1999), ‘The Glass Wall’ (2001), ‘The First Night of Peace’ (2005), ‘The Basement’ (2006), ‘Awakening’ (2008), ‘A Friend's Share’ (2012), ‘Behind the Tall Mountains’ (2012), ‘Autumn Evening’ (2013), and ‘Seven Stones’ (2014).
