Oveisi, Fath-Ali (born January 1945, Qom - died October 5, 2021, Tehran)

After graduating in Directing and Acting from Texas State University in 1974, Oveisi returned to Iran. His film debut was ‘Outlawed’ (1984).

He has directed a number of films, among them ‘Maryam and Mytil’ (1992) found commercial success. 

Oveisi is best remembered for his acting in films including ‘Captain Khorshid’ (1986), ‘Takhti, the World Champion’ (1987) and ‘Mummy III’ (1999) as well as dramas like ‘Packed Suitcases’ (2001) and ‘No Comment’ (2002).
