Majid Mozaffari
Mozaffari, Majid (born February 11, 1951, Tehran)
At the age of 18, Majid Mozaffari went to a stage rehearsal where he was offered a short role, stepping in to take on a leading role after one of the main actors left the play.
He then quit his job at the Mercedes Benz dealership and joined the theater troupe. The next year, he played a minor role in a movie.
Upon the advice of a veteran actor, he continued stage acting to improve his performance skills.
His first movie was 'Story City' (1973). He then took an acting course in Paris, France.
His acting in the movie 'The Passengers' (1991) won him his first Fajr International Film Festival Crystal Simorgh for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in 1992.
He was nominated for Crystal Simorghs for 'Shadows of Invasion' (1992), 'The Tanker Wars' (1993) and 'Killing Dogs' (2000). He has also won awards at the Sacred Defense and International Oil Film Festivals.
Mozaffari has acted in movies such as 'Under Night's Skin' (1974), 'The Indians' (1978), 'Crossing Minefield' (1982), 'Panther' (1985), 'The Ruin' (1985), 'The Days of Anticipation' (1986), 'In the Storm's Path' (1988), 'The Angelica' (1988), 'Starry Sky' (1999), 'Intersection' (2005), and 'While We Sleep' (2008).
He has also appeared in series, including 'The Days of Life' (1998-2000), 'A House in the Dark' (2002), 'Until Morning' (2006), 'The Mystery' (2008), 'The Night Shall Pass' (2008), 'The Billionaire' (2012), and 'A Beautiful Revolution' (2014).
