Saharkhiz, Hossein (born July 16, 1958, Tehran) 

Hossein Saharkhiz has an Associate degree and a Second Grade Certificate in Art from the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance.

In 1975, he began acting in theatre. Three years later, he became a television actor before taking up professional cinematic acting in 1993.
 
Saharkhiz has taken part in several TV series, including ‘Reyhaneh’ (2004) and ‘A Mother's Song’ (2008).

He has also appeared in various movies such as ‘The Love Squadron’ (1996), ‘Tehran Nights’ (2000), ‘The Duel’ (2003), ‘Carnival of Death’ (2008) and ‘The Golden Collars’ (2011). 

Saharkhiz worked as a director in a number of TV series, including ‘The last Day of Summer’ (1989), and several telefilms such as ‘Return’ (2009), ‘Affection and Blood’ (2010) and ‘The Border Crossing’ (2012). 

The play ‘Rabee’ gained him an award for Best Costume Design from the Fajr International Theatre Festival.

He has also served as panel members with several Fajr International Theatre Festivals.
